The Jobs Report Looks Strong — But.... It's NOT.

January's Jobs Report showed 130,000 jobs added — more than double expectations. But when you look at the actual data underneath the headline, the picture changes fast. Before seasonal adjustments, the economy lost 2.65 million jobs. Last year's totals were revised down by over 400,000. Layoffs hit the highest level since 2009. Meanwhile inflation is cooling to 2.4% and housing affordability is the best it's been since March 2022. I break down what all of this actually means if you're buying a home or thinking about it.
